Yes, it has been over 4 years since our last post, but here's some updates:

-WRP is on 'leave' at the moment. Pimpdaddysupreme has been cutting it up on the wheels of steel in Nashvegas over the past few years. Matt The PM is still working in the public safety communications field, moving from being a dispatcher to the IT side of things.

-Matt was bored and decided to begin work on 'freshening' up the website. We may change the template for it completely, who knows. At the moment, we've updated some of the links, removed the WMTS radio broadcast link and added a link to Radio Free Nashville (where Matt volunteers at Technical Director).

-Most of the audio on here is still available for download. We may post a few newer cuts from time to time.

That's it for now. Catch Matt's radio show 'EZ 989: The Restful Station', Fridays at 1pm CT on Radio Free Nashville. Go here for Matt's blog and podcasts of the show.

This page will probably migrate to a service like Myspace, but I am still debating that. Myspace is a silly place, although I met my future wife there (yes, I am getting married. . .May 17, 2008. . .Heee!)

Happy New Year!! The bad news is that WRP is no longer on 88.3 WMTS (due to students having priority over timeslots and an unprecedented WAVE of slots being filled.) The good news is this will allow us to focus on LIVE shows. The first being on January 29th at Hurricane Station @ 9pm. We will be playing with Andy Vincent and Matt -------'s Drum Extravaganza.
Their show is two drum kits, a DJ and a sampler.
Ours is... well...
It's the usual mishmash of Broken kids toys, High powered computers and synths, CD decks, (and I'll see if Matt'll let me bring the Turntables).
See you there.

Some up coming shows will make WRP a very busy band. Pimpdaddysupreme will be playing the Buzz & Clicks show in Nashville on October the 12th.

October 18th WRP will be playing Recycled Rainbow 7.0 (featuring DJ Empirical, The Evolution Control Comittee, The Button, and more...) in Cleveland, Ohio.

WRP will also be in full effect for Phreaknic7 playing the hacker conference the night of October the 25th in Nashville. As of right now, they only have Pimpdaddysupreme listed, but believe me, WRP is in effect. A weekend pass is $20, and the show on Saturday night is a costume party so come dressed up. (pass for Saturday is only $10!!!!) posted by Matt 1:53 PM

Crazy stuff. No radio show on 8.5.03 because I was out and about storm tracking. I tell you, brothers and sisters, there's nothing like getting the shit scared out of you whilst sitting under a gas station canopy with hail, 65 mph straight line winds and lightning all about. The wind ACTUALLY pushed my 'Burb a foot or so while being parked. Pretty damn amazing. And yes, there was an ever present 'low growl' in the air, making me think there was a tornado pretty damn close. But, no damage. All was serene as I drove back to the station R. posted by Matt 3:17 PM

Whew, I've really been slacking in getting the past two weeks' worth of shows uploaded. But hey, they should be there now! Yes, yes. . .more antics and asses that are smart attitudes from the WRP crew. The next Recycled Rainbow is coming up in October and I definitely want to make this one. The July 4th weekend (when they had the most recent one) was sort of depressing. I missed alot of good friends. . *sigh*.

My ongoing goal is to get another WRP album ready for the masses. Pimpdaddy and I were discussing the possibility of releasing a radio disc at the end of the summer with some of the 'better' moments from the radio show. What do you think? An album of totally new material? Or...a radio disc?

Drop us a line in the guestbook...let us know what ya think. posted by Matt 3:33 PM
